The tread depth in the center area has worn down to the same level as the raised bumps inside the grooves, known as the Tread Wear Indicator (TWI). The tread pattern in the main contact area has almost completely disappeared, changing the tire profile from rounded to flat (Flat Profile).
สาเหตุของอาการ
Causes
Caused by normal motorcycle operation and mileage wear (Normal Wear and Tear) until reaching the end of the tread's lifespan.
The rate of wear depends on individual factors such as total mileage, aggressive acceleration or braking behavior, regular road surface conditions, and tire pressure used.
Wearing down to the TWI is a natural characteristic of every used tire. It is not caused by any structural, material, or manufacturing defects from the Pirelli factory; therefore, the warranty does not cover normal wear and tear (Normal Wear).
When the tire tread wears down to the level of the Tread Wear Indicator (TWI), it indicates that the tire has reached the end of its useful life. The rider must replace it with a new tire immediately.
Continuing to ride on a worn-out tire increases the risk of hydroplaning when passing through water puddles. Furthermore, the thinned tread makes the tire highly susceptible to punctures and leaks from sharp objects.
