Splits, scratches, or deep vertical cuts are found as continuous long lines or intermittent segments running parallel to the tire's circumference on the tread or shoulder.
Caused by riding over or scraping against sharp foreign objects on the road surface, such as coiled steel wires, glass shards, nails, or sharp metal edges of manhole covers and imperfect road joints.
While the vehicle is moving at speed, these sharp objects puncture or scrape against the tread along the rotation path of the motorcycle wheel, creating a long cut around the tire.
This type of damage is classified as Road Hazard damage, which is an accident and an external factor from usage. It is not caused by material or manufacturing defects; therefore, the product is not covered by the warranty policy.
If a cut is detected, initially check the depth of the wound. If the cut is shallow on the outer rubber surface and does not reach the inner casing plies or steel belts, the tire can still be used normally without affecting riding safety.
If the cut is deep enough to expose the casing plies or internal steel belts, or if air begins to leak, stop using it immediately and replace the tire with a new one, as the main structure of the tire is compromised.
