Pirelli Motorcycle tyre Product Quality Warranty

Scope of Warranty

Comp Moto Co., Ltd. (“the Company”), as the official and sole importer and distributor of PIRELLI motorcycle tyres in Thailand, including after-sales service, acts only as a coordinator with the manufacturer and has no authority to make any decisions whatsoever.

The product quality warranty or all manufacturing defects are solely at the discretion of the manufacturer, Pirelli Tyre S.p.A. (Italy), under the following conditions:

  1. tyres that are not more than 5 years old from the date of manufacture as indicated by the DOT mark on the sidewall (not the year of purchase).
  2. tyres that do not have any area of the tread worn down to the Tread Wear Indicator (TWI). If the tread is worn down to the TWI, the tyre is considered to have been fully depleted and has reached the end of its service life and will not be covered by the warranty.
  3. Tyre must be in a condition free from damage caused by use, such as cuts, bulges, cracks, punctures, leaks, or being run flat.

This warranty does not cover the following cases:

  • tyres used on motorcycles registered outside Thailand.
  • tyres installed incorrectly or not according to the standard for the vehicle as per the manual, or used on vehicles with sidecars/trailers.
  • tyres designed for competition use on all types of racetracks.
  • Using different models or brands of front and rear tyres.
  • Filling with gas other than air or nitrogen, including the use of tyre sealant or other chemicals.
  • tyres damaged due to incorrect installation or improper installation, such as torn beads.
  • tyres damaged from use, such as being punctured, cut, or impacted causing structural damage.
  • tyres damaged from stunt riding, such as wheelies, burnouts, or skidding.
  • tyres damaged from prolonged parking causing a flat spot from being pressed in one spot.
  • tyres damaged from improper tyre pressure according to the vehicle manual.
  • tyres damaged from various accidents, such as fire, chemicals, cutting, drilling, or collision.
  • tyres damaged or deformed from improper transportation or storage.
  • tyres that have been modified, such as regrooving or additional siping.
  • tyres with cracking due to environmental conditions, temperature, sunlight, or prolonged disuse.
  • tyres that have been patched, repaired, retreaded, or have any tears or leaks.
  • tyres that have been used on a Dynamometer (dyno).
  • Used tyres.
  • Abnormalities caused by defects in other motorcycle components, such as wheels, axles, brakes, or suspension.

Inspection and Claim Approval

  1. Customers must submit photographic evidence along with a consent form for inspection. Company staff will coordinate the process.
  2. Initial inspection will take no more than 7 working days.
  3. If it is necessary to send the actual tyre to Pirelli Tyre S.p.A., the inspection process will take approximately 6–8 working weeks.

There are two forms of claim approval:

  1. If the remaining tread is more than 80%, a new tyre will be approved without additional cost.
  2. If the remaining tread is less than 80%, a credit equal to the remaining tyre percentage will be issued, which the tyre owner can use to purchase the same model of Pirelli tyre or an equivalent model.

Additional Conditions

  1. Claim approval cannot be converted to cash under any circumstances.
  2. Claim approval does not cover other damages beyond the tyre product itself.
  3. Claim approval does not cover other expenses such as shipping, removal-installation, wheel balancing, or vehicle transportation costs.
  4. Submitting tyres for inspection is merely a process for the manufacturer to consider.

Comp Moto Co., Ltd. has no authority to make a final decision or guarantee that all tyre cases will be eligible for a claim.

  1. The inspection results from the manufacturer Pirelli Tyre S.p.A. are final.
  2. Comp Moto Co., Ltd. reserves the right to amend, add to, or change these warranty conditions without prior notice.
